Multiple Applications of New MOD 3-10KTL3-XH Battery-Ready Inverter

Growatt has launched the updated product MOD 3-10KTL3-XH, the new version meets all the demands that you can image on a solar inverter and a hybrid inverter. Customers can get the inverter as a grid-tied PV inverter in advance with a low upfront cost, and easy-to-extend storage in near future, which can reduce the initial investment and offer customers enough flexibility. It not only supports power backup when a blackout happens but also supports phase level control function.

1. On-grid Solar System

MOD XH series can work like the normal on-grid solar system with solar panels. And when the system contains a Growatt smart meter, it has the system dynamic power control function. Users can check 24h self-consumption data on Growatt Portal: ShinePhone & ShineServer.

2. On-grid Storage System

MOD XH can work as a hybrid inverter with solar panels and batteries. What’s more, the system support 2 times power, take a MOD 5KTL3-XH inverter for example, when solar power is big enough, the inverter can produce max. 5kW AC power and charge the battery 5kW at the same time.

3. Backup Function

MOD XH new BP version support three phase whole house back up when a blackout happens, the system consists of MOD XH inverter, APX HV battery system and SYN 50-XH-30. The installation of SYN is much easier when considering whole house backup, as the system stated diagram below.

To ensure a stable power supply for home consumption, there is a grid bypass function that allows easy transfer to the grid bypass if an abnormality occurs in the system.

4. Smart Phase Level Control

The system support imbalance output on different phases for both on-grid and off-grid situation. For example, MOD 10KTL3-XH maximum backup power for each phase is 3.3kW, and when the load power does not exceed 3.3kW per phase, the inverter can supply the corresponding power.

Note: The system can support backup and smart phase control function, only when MOD3-10KTL3-XH new BP version works with APX HV Battery system, the max. backup power also depends on battery capacity.
